Body control module issues?

Default Power issues to Radio and Heater Controls

Hi All
Ford Smax Titanium 2011
After fitting an aftermarket Android "Tesla Style" Radio to replace my s-max blaupunkt travelpilot. There was a spark "pop" noise and the new radio didnt work, checked fuses non blown. Old radio refitted didnt work
The heater controls, obvs part of removed radio, no longer worked, however the default heater (canbus emergency system.. I presume ) switches in and provides hot air to the car, controlled by opening windows phew!!
There is no 12v feed to the fakra multi plug, so another radio doesn't work
I replaced the just the heater controls with a separate unit from a lesser spec model and it worked, it lit up and operated the air con, fan netc....10 minutes later it stopped working
Question has the Body Control Module malfunctioned / thrown a wobbly?
So no power at the radio feed and heater controls not operating
HELP!
