mepeternicholls
FOCUS VIGNALE 2.0 TD ECOBLUE AUTO (8F40) 2020 - warranty until end of august 2023. Had since 6 months old. vibrations, not good vibrations. Through the steering wheel, through the seat. At idle, low speed, high speed. Worse 950-1400. Worse at 50-54 and with cruise on. DESPITE detailed break down (saving you all that), me taking them out, having a good talk, and even me asking directly what they use to detect and diagnose vibrations and noise, deal is gaslighting me telling me it’s all fine, all normal, cannot find any issues. However, they keep insisting that the buckled rim on one of the wheels is what I’m feeling, even though it’s been balanced perfectly. (getting the wheels fully sorted next week, with a report and evidence so the deal will stop fobbing me off with that one). I have what are 1st order and 2nd order engine vibrations. I know because I spent £100 for a specialist app that tells me this. And it’s very clear and detailed about this. Even telling me what to check, all the possible causes and possible fixes. It could be… Flexplate (id even said I think it’s that, and that 2 others had said so too. Checked it? Lol) Torque converter if not then trans fluid, injectors, harmonic balancer, drive shafts/ bearings… i asked them to check the leak back ‘ fuel return of injectors “but there’s no codes” ffs who do they employ???? SO: how do I get the dealer to bloomin USE THEIR OWN vibrations diagnostic devices? How do I get them to actually do some hard graft investigative work and stop saying “but theres no codes!” Face. Palm. “We ‘ll listen to another car and compare.” Ffs DATA- you have tools to do this imperially and they do not need to use subjective comparisons im going to try one more time after the wheels are done, run the vibration app report again and present them with all the evidence. what do I do if they will not / cannot progress this, ignore me, or continue to say “it is a diesel mate”. 😫
unofix
I have a very similar 2019 Focus 2.0 Ecoblue and mine doesn't vibrate. I'd go to a different dealer and get them to take a fresh look at the problem.
DaveT70
Firstly, contact Ford CRC. The first thing they will tell you to do is take it to a different dealer. A main dealer is best and, ideally, one that has a master tech. But, pound to a penny, it's the injectors. A lot of 2.0 Ecoblues suffered with injector problems, a lot had injectors replaced at first service.

And I’ve been doing injectors in my 2007 TDV8 Range Rover, so it did strike me that injectors would need checking. I wouldn’t trust this main dealer to do that properly.
