Forscan query

Hey guy's

Still a new owner here, I have been searching through the forums and I have come across this Forscan. I can see a use for it however I don't trust myself. I wanted to know if anyone knew a company or something of the sort who could deal with the Forscan for me? I do not trust myself at all, even if I were to pay for it. I was reading something about someone getting their gearbox and injectors reset. Also, I would like to get rid of the stop start and perhaps a couple other things. I live in Southampton, anyone know any organisation that deals with Forscan?

Kind regards

Nas

Oh hey

You guys on here are rapid responders! I had read somewhere where someone had bought a used Ford Mondeo where he had reset the gearbox and injectors, first time I had heard this. I want to disable the stop start, see if I can get a digital speedo display, TPMS sensor with actual numbers, not sure what else there is that can be enabled/disabled. Thank you!

Kind regards

What type of dash do you have as it will be very much dependant on that to do the speedo display and the tpms figures.  The start/stop you should have a button near your gear lever which you would need to select each time you start the car.

You can't do software updates without a full, paid licence.

Configuration and programming can be done with a free extended licence.

Get the V-Linker cable or the OBDLink EX

You cannot switch of stop/start (I believe), it needs to be mapped out

As Dave has said, there is no way available to permanently disable Stop/Start. The only way to turn it off is to press the button 'every time' yon start the car. Or, you can fit an automatic switch control, that always turns Stop/Start off each time you start the car. See details here: https://www.formod.eu/

FORScan for windows (free) : https://forscan.org/download.html

vLinker FS cable : https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vgate-vLinker-Adapter-FORScan-MS-CAN/dp/B0952P4MLP

Good Evening!

I will I thank you for your responses! @unofix It is a shame stop start cannot be disabled, I did see some sort of bypass cable for sale but I shy away from things such as this myself. Perhaps I will speak with my mechanic regarding this. @gg1234635 I have attached an image of the digital dash display thingy. I have a few more questions but one thing at a time, otherwise I end up confusing myself.

Thanks for helping me guys!!

@nasan The tpms values are easy to enable and simple to do with forscan.  The digital speedo, comes in 2 forms depending on the version of software that dash is running.  Unless the dash has been updated it is unlikely you will be able to get the speedo in the middle where the compass is.  However if i remember and i am sure someone will correct me if i am wrong. You can get it on right hand side to the left of the speed limit sign.
I am happy to chat off forum but not sure the best way to do it on here.
