Ford Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost - intermittent spanner & power loss

Featured Replies

I have a Ford Fiesta Ecoboost 1.00 2018.

On the 17th January the spanner appeared on the car and I felt a small loss of power when accelerating. A few minutes later, the spanner disappeared and car drove normal.

No further problems occurred and the spanner never popped up till 28th March, when the spanner appeared for the day and when releasing the accelerator, the car would jolt slightly and loss of power. Turned the car on the next day, spanner is gone and the car drove normally.

Plugged the car in and it showed a power train fault but nothing else. Car is at the mechanics again tomorrow for them to try and diagnose the issue but the mechanic said he doesn’t think he’ll find it due to it being intermittent.

Has anyone else had similar please? And what was the cause?
