Fiesta mk7 - All parking sensors not working

Featured Replies

2012 Fiesta Mk7 Titanium

Sorry for another post regarding this.. I can't find the original post.

My reversing lights work but all 4 rear sensors aren't working, there are no sounds at all when putting the car in reverse or nearing any objects when reversing.

Could this be down to replacing the parking aid module? The boot isn't letting any water in, the units and wires are clean and dry, etc. The likelihood of all 4 sensors packing up at the same time must be slim.

Any tips would be great.

Thanks.

Are you saying that you "have" replaced the parking aid module ?

Or are you asking should you replace the parking aid module ?

You need a laptop and download FORScan. Then connect to the OBDII port and read the DTC's. The car will know that the parking sensors are not working so use FORScan to see what the reason is.

I haven't replaced it yet, I was wondering if the module would be the likely cause to nothing working.

I'll check that out, thanks!

You need to find the reason before you open up with the parts cannon otherwise it gets expensive.

FORScan: https://forscan.org/download.html

ELM327(modified) cable: https://tunnelrat-electronics.fwscart.com/USB_Modified_with_switch_ELM327/p4541936_17045457.aspx

Could be the buzzer / sounder not working . Needs forscan for dtcs.
