Aux sound terrible on upgraded Sony radio

Featured Replies

I have a Ford Fiests 07 plate it came with standard single 600cd however the cd never worked but the Bluetooth from Aux port to iPod worked quite well(Spotify) even though the volume went down slightly it was fine sounding if phone volume turned full.

i decided to upgrade by buying a second hand Sony single cd player as I do miss listening to some cds and assumed if anything it would be the same sound quality if not better.

I fitted this with ease and the cd & radio quality is brilliant, however the Bluetooth Aux to my iPhone is appalling I’ve tried all setting on radio & phone I’ve tried connecting via cable & even tried another device. The sound is so quiet but if you turn it up plike on the old unit it becomes tinny and distorted. Read things like oh the radio is to powerful the speakers but why does cd & radio sound great. I’ve also seen things about a headphone amplifier but I can see that helping ?.

so any help as I have a choice put the old rubbish one back in and have Spotify (Bluetooth) or keep the Sony in and just have radio & cd 😡😡😡

any help appreciated
