Clip that goes onto the side of Battery cover

Featured Replies

Im looking for a replacement clip that goes onto the side of the battery cover that holds a hose in place as mine has snapped. Fod Focus ST-3 MK2 2010IMG_20230307_162622.thumb.jpg.560faca756d655478f0ad72aa75eeb26.jpgIMG_20230307_162724.thumb.jpg.239732b1879083a490954a5fd44f1355.jpg

Which hose does it hold, is it the MAP sensor ?

 Bad news I think.

The clip is not available as a separate part but is part of a complete vacuum hose assembly. When it was available back in 2011 it cost £108.67
Finis : 1418403

It now costs £231.74. Looks like a job for araldite glue.

Ah damn it ford haha, nevermind then 🤣😅

Thanks.

Yep it’s not available on its own as I found out after managed to break it on mine too. I rigged up something with cable ties I think until I ditched the messy looking vac pipe set up for the ‘RS’ vac pipe mod where the switch is relocated to the bulkhead and then a straight tube runs to the plenum etc

A neat mod but trying to rejoin the sections of plastic pipe is a nightmare 🙄

https://anemboengineering.co.uk/focus-st225-mk2-vac-pipe-kit/ is this what i would need for rs vac pipe conversion kit. Hope im allowed to post the link.

That’s the one. I bought a spare vac pipe to cut up in case anything went wrong. Ended up making one of the joins by butting 2 sections together rather than trying to get pipe to refit onto the vac switch. The plastic pipe doesn’t fit easily even when heated up
