Clock showing wrong time

Featured Replies

Sometimes when we turn on the car the clock is displaying a time one hour ahead of the real time. The Clock is set to update using GPS time automatically, so I can't find any reason for this. Quite probably the next time we turn on the engine the time resets itself to the correct time. We haven't managed to find any patten to when it shows the wrong time. I suspect some software bug.

Has anyone else seen this?

It's a 2019 Fiesta

In your Sync setting there will be a setting called either 'Day Light Saving (DLS)' or 'Summer / Winter.

It is supposed to automatically change the time depending on the time of the year. However when the car is in an area of poor reception the clock can randomly change (I used to have a Vectra that did this often).

You can turn off the setting to automatically adjust the time, and then it just means that twice a year you will have to adjust the time manually. I know it's not the perfect solution to the issue but it does stop the time randomly jumping about.

This is just dreadful, imagine, having to manually reset your clock, that's awful, next you'll be telling us that in some cars they still have to twist a switch to turn on the lights, or flick a stalk to operate their wipers...

Yes, turn off GPS clock and adjust manually

Imagine buying a £25,000 car that doesn't have the same functionality as a £10 alarm clock.
