Help! Fuel gauge problems. Fiesta climate Mk5

I have a fiesta climate Mk5 and recently my fuel gauge has seemed to set 1/4 a tank on the fuel gauge and '127m till empty' on the digital screen as empty. So I thought I had more than enough petrol in the tank but it was actually empty. 😖 Showing a false reading. I put two jerry cans of fuel in and it added that to the 1/4 tank giving me now over 1/2 tank fuel. Know I know £13 of fuel don't give me half a tank on the guage normally. So its still showing a false reading. My dad and I have been all over the internet trying to find where the fuel sensor is located on my poxy car. So my first question is does anyone know where the fuel sensor is located on my fiesta? My second question is any ideas on what could be causing this false fuel reading? Also anyone wanna buy me a new ***** car 😂

    I suspect the OP means "how do I get to it?" e.g. under back seat/ inside boot/ behind which bit of trim etc.
