Ford Fiesta speakers dead

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a 1998 Ford Fiesta, 1.25 Zetec. Tonight the speakers just cut out on me when I had my CD player on.

I know for a fact the problem is associated with the wire going in the speaker by my door handle, I just don't know how to get to it. The wire may have came out of it's socket due to excessive force on closing my door. Funnily enough I got it working before by fiddling with the actual door handle frame but it went off again, so it's got to be a loose wire.

How can I get to this wire behind the door handle speaker? Help muchly appreciated!

Thanks :)

Its a door card off job and get in there through the cut outs in the inner door skin.

if its just the door handle speaker there is a car at the back of the door handle, take it off and take the screw out, then pull the handle off, if its the 1 in the bottem of the door then you have to do as vinny says and take the door card off

Yeah remove door card and rewire speakers so they're in properly!

O and welcome to the club
