Fiesta MK 7 2012 Radio Heat Unit upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi All

Thanks for looking at this

I have a head unit that is faulty keeps producing a loud static type noise even when it’s not turned on.

I’m looking to get another head unit, the current one is model number : AA6T

I see Ford did a black panel Sony one , will that fit as a straight swap ?

Any advice about a better upgrade would be appreciated

It would be great if I could get something with Apple Play if possible

Thank you

AA6T is just the fist part of the part number, you need to replace with the exact same part number, (example circled in red in the photo) the only difference can be the last letter which should preferably be the same or higher, ie if you last letter is F you will need one that ends in F, G, or H etc. when I changed mine I toook a chance and used a letter lower thankfully worked fine.

You could upgrade to Sync 3, there are guides on the site, which would give you much better upgrade.
