New thermostat housing..pipe won't sit flush.. Water pouring

Replaced the thermostat housing. The pipe on the back of the engine that connects to the thermostat has got a half circle clamp with a bolt on the side that tightens it to the housing. 

After putting it all back together it is still pouring water from that join (pipe to housing) 

Smax titanium 2.2 08 plate.. 

 

Hopefully someone knows how to solve this as it's been a full week of head scratching and taking it apart again and again and still not sealing properly 😞
