Mk7 Radio Problem And Update

Has anyone had there mk7 fiesta's radios software upgraded? , only asking because i had a problem with my radio where it would keep cutting out , i had no sound at all when playing cds ,radio or bluetooth , i took it in under the warranty and ended up an overnight job as the problem took a long time to find.

I saw my car in the garage and it had all the door panels off the radio hanging out, it looked like my whole inside of the car had been stipped out trying to find the problem, the guy eventually found what the problem was , a small part of a speaker wire at the back had its rubber sheeving damaged showing the wire which was touching something causing it to cut out all the speakers.

Anyway the guy had to do a diagonstics test and a radio software update before he could even sort out the problem.

Does anyone know if the update has new features beacause i cant see anything different?

    I had my radio updated a couple of weeks ago to try and solve a problem (stereo not reading CD tracks properly). I haven't noticed any new features since then I'm afraid.
