Fiesta Mk5 Clutch

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum, but seems like a good place to talk Ford!

I have a Fiesta Mk5 which had a new clutch about 10,000 miles ago when one of the springs snapped. It's now on 48,000, but the clutch pedal seems to act a bit wierd. When travelling on a motorway, i.e. not using the clutch, the pedal seems very heavy when it is depressed to change gear. After that, it seems fine again but it happens everytime I don't use the clutch for a while. The engine is a 1.3 Endura with a hydraulic clutch.

Is this something that anyone else has experienced or is it supposed to be like that? I've had the car for 5 years and never noticed it before!

Thanks to everyone in advance,

James
