Fiesta eco boost 69 plate maps not working

I have recently bought a Ford Fiesta 1l eco boost 69 plate and have trouble with the map not working.  I have tried removing device from Bluetooth and phone and resyncing. I have bought a new lead to connect the phone for Android auto but that makes no difference.  Sometimes on connection, the map works but then it just vanishes. 
any other suggestions. Thank you

    Google maps on Android auto, Google maps works on my phone, when I connect to the car, sometimes maps shows but then vanishes after a few minutes and says apps not found
