Knocking after changing diesel retutprn pipe

Just had the diesel return pipe changed on my s max and now the engine has got a knock,  it has no loss of power .

    Air in fuel line, choked fuel filter, weak fuel sender unit, choked air filter, spark plug/injector problem/IMV failure, adulterated fuel etc. etc. are some of the causes of engine knocking, missing, rough idling, pickup hesitation..

    That's quite a list of things for the OP to check. Would you recommend a set of new spark plugs before doing anything else ?
