Hi, my fuel gauge has been giving faulty readings (saying empty shortly after putting fuel in, going up and down on its own accord) then yesterday engine malfunction light came on and car juddering to near stop, had put £30 fuel in that morning, put 10 litres in from jerry can and malfunction light went off but gauge still reads as empty, would the faulty sender be the reason for engine malfunction warning?

    Possibly cluster solder issues, I've not read that it affected MK4 Mondeo, but it's old enough.
