Red Light next to Auto Hold

Featured Replies

I have a 2019 Ford Focus 1.5 Ecoboost 182 auto and have been getting a red light next to the green auto hold light on my dashboard intermittently coming on. It sometimes stays on for a couple of seconds, other times it flashes on then off very quickly. It doesn’t come on every journey but it seems to come on if I’ve accelerated hard, can anyone help 🤷🏼‍♂️🙏🏻

If this is on the far right of the digital cluster, at the bottom corner, I suspect it's an exclamation mark in a circle and brackets (!).  If so, this indicates a brake fault.  Chances are, your brake fluid is slightly low due to worn pads, so hard acceleration moves the remaining fluid backwards away from the sensor briefly.

Thanks for the reply, on closer inspection it looks like the anti-collision light. I did change the settings on the car so suspect it may be this. I have since unticked the box where it says display distance, so hopefully this has fixed it.
