I took my car for a service recently, and because I was impatient I didn’t take it to a dealer.
When I got the car back the heater blower was only working on 4 so I changed the resistor pack. Used a 3rd party one instead of an OEM part (second mistake). 

That worked but then when I turn the car on and go in to gear I get 3 chimes and an image on the media screen of a car with exclamation mark at the front and back. The reverse sensors no longer work.

I then noticed that the windscreen wiper stalk doesn’t work. Front, rear, or washer, BUT I can hear relay clicks from behind the glovebox when I move the stalk or press the buttons.

I’m suspecting the dodgy resistor pack may have caused some damage to the BCM, because everything else was working fine before I changed that. It could also be the battery as they did report a high voltage drop at the service, but it seems to be OK 12.3v when off and just over 14v when the car is on.

I check with Forscan and get 4 errors-

B1142:13-08 Ignition Status 1 Circuit Open

B124A:15-0A day running light 

B124B:15-0A day running light

B1C45:24-OA - Windscreen wiper

The day running light faults seem to clear when I put my headlights on.

 

any idea on what to check next or if I should just replace the BCM and/or battery?

 

forgot to add it’s a 2015 fiesta auto 1.6L
