Creaking Noise when braking and turning - front wheels

Featured Replies

Hi,

There is a concerning noise coming from the front wheels of my Fiesta 1.25 zetec when I am parking. When I press the brakes going very slow (less than 5mph) a clicking almost cracking noise comes from the front wheel/wheels. The noise also worsens when I turn the steering wheel.

I have taken it to a tyre/brake garage and was told its not brake related but steering so I then took it to a mechanic and he couldn't replicate the sound weirdly...

I will try and upload a video of the noise later as its quite hard to explain.

No noise occurs from steering and the brakes work and feel normal when driving at higher speeds.

Any ideas or has anyone had something similar?

Odd noise that, use your own ears to pinpoint where the exact noise is coming from ?
Pop the bonnet and also look & listen in that area.

Will give it a go later when I've got someone else. Thank you
