Letter From Ford

Featured Replies

I have had my Fiesta since it launched and a couple of days ago I got a letter from Ford via my Dealer stating that they had some good news about my current car. I rang up the dealer yesterday and it seems that I have been picked by Ford to have some special deal or something if I change my car now. I have a 3rd year of my 3yr agreement to go come october.

One thing I have noticed is that a Titanium with the same optional extras as I have on my current one seem to be alot more expensive.

Does anyone know what sort of extra consessions this usually entails as the dealer didn't seem to want to give any details about it over the phone?

Hi

They want your trade they want money they want to meet there sales target.

Any money owing will be added to the next contract meaning you will owe more.

If you are happy with your car wait until next year when you will owe less and possible get a better spec/ deal

Jamie

Thats not true, the dealer will settle any outstanding finance from the value of your current car. This is what mine has done, and i got back over £1,000 because the car is worth more than the finance.

But it sounds like to me your dealer's sales are down and want another sale off you. I got a phone call rather than a letter saying i will get "special discounts" which in the end was a load of crap as i got much more off without the "special" discount. Only 5 weeks now untill my new Titanium on a 60 plate :)

Ford credit give dealers a list of people between 10-20 who they say if then change car to the same ie focus to focus or Fiesta to Fiesta then they will give the dealer additional money that they use towards the deal. Only the dealership where you got the car from has the ability to do this as for credit only give it to them customers from that dealershp. All dealership in the UK will have this ability but only to there own customer and from them only a few are selected its sounds rubbish when a dealer rings but its true. The amount of people who think its just a ploy to get you in and never take up the offer is insane. It's there to help as you have noticed prices are now more so this helps make changing you car easier. Like I say sounds very corney and just a thing to get you down but It's a genuine thing. Happens like once or twice every quarter and only for people chosen by Ford credit. The dealer has no say who gets it so even if you are with Ford credit and looking to change then you won't have this extra discount unless chosen by the finance company.

Hope this helped bit long winded lol and replying on my phone. Also yes I work for a Ford dealer

This is if you have been chosen but like Mark MK says they also might be low on figures lol. But I do know they are doing Ka to Ka Fiesta to Fiesta and focus to focus additional money

Easy way to find out, get in touch with your dealer! ;)

You can always walk away from what they have to offer if you don't fancy the deal.

I am going down on the 25th to see what is what in terms of a deal. A quick look on drivethedeal suggests I could get a car with the same spec as mine (Titanium 1.6 + Full Dress up Kit + Titanium X pack) for £12,400 which when configured on the Ford website is £17,390 :o. Which is a difference of £4990

Does anyone have any idea what sort of trade-in value a 58 Plate Titanium 1.6 3dr with dress up kit and Titanium X pack is?
