You don't say if you are after a full working 'remote' fob with buttons for door unlocking etc, or just a 'blade' key to enter car and start it?

Whatever you do, do NOT go to a Ford dealer, or Timpsons! Seek out a local independant locksmith, who as well as cutting the actual 'blade', should also be able to program the key so it will deactivate the immobiliser of the car! (without which, your car won't start).

It's the remote unlocking and starting fob for a titanium   x

I would expect your local locksmith to be looking for £60 to £90 for that. If you only have the one existing working key, you have no method to 'program' a new key fob yourself (you need both original factory supplied keys to do that)

I'd be expecting more like £150.  Prices will depend on where you are in the country though.

No harm in asking Ford for a quote first, then you've got a 'maximum' price to try and beat with independents.

Also, when you say you have the number - is it definitely the ignition key number?  Locking wheel nut numbers are labelled 'Ford Keycode' which can be confusing!

I keep forgetting I live in a small part of the country where folk aren't on £100k salaries LOL If my local locksmith quoted that, he'd be laughed out of the high street! We're a frugal lot here...

One of my original factory supplied keys still has the 'key number' attached to it, definitely nothing to do with wheel locks, as steel wheels didn't come with locks LOL

Don't have much choice if you've lost the only key or it's broken while away from home.  Overheads such as land & property rent, as well as council tax etc are presumably higher here as well.

I generally just go without or attempt things myself after asking for quotes from professional trades.  Managed 5 years with only one key for my Golf now.  And haven't paid for a garage to repair anything for more than a decade.  One of the few things I can't do myself is tyres...back in 2018 I was quoted £35 to fit a basic 205/55/16 at a local, rural garage...not to supply, just to fit!  The guy was clearly used to a different type of customer as he couldn't understand my shock at that quote!

Try Richard Beetwell at Customod. https://customod.co.uk/

Wondered why a custom site could help, but sure enough, they do sell a blank 'key', albeit a bit more expensive than the average Ebay listing.

Also, some locksmiths will not 'cut' the blade unless they are selling you the key. I did inflate my quote above to take in your mainland inflated prices. I know a place in Belfast where you can walk in, get a brand new flip key fully programmed (remote function & PATS immobiliser chip) for £50.  The guy comes out to your car with some amazing HiTech programing gizmo and you drive off with a proper new key (not a clone, but a properly registered key)

I got a key off him as was also getting a cluster so kinda made sense, i then used FORscan to set it all up and recode all the keys i had via PAT's

Is it just a flip-key needed?  I saw Titanium X and assumed proximity fob...  Price should be nearer the £100 mark if it's just a flip key.

Auto Solutions Auto Locksmith based in Skelmanthorpe. Guys does travel all over the UK. Think I paid £110 a while ago, maybe less

That's not what I need.

mmm... you have been quite ambiguous over what you actually want. So, does the key you 'want' not have a blade, but simply a built in chip so that you can start your car with a stop/start button? Maybe a picture?

There's more than one type of lock & key for the Mk7 Fiesta.

This is a proximity fob with hidden blade - for use with push button start.  I'm guessing this is the one you have?

Around £150.

There's two parts to be programmed-

The Button part of the fob to allow remote locking / unlocking.

The transponder chip (in the top of the fob) to allow proximity locking / unlocking and keyfree starting / immobiliser functionality.

The back up blade also needs cutting to match.

Ford  dealerships can charge £300 or more but then only call in an independent auto locksmith to do the job.

Cut out the middle man and you'll probably end up using the same guy as they would for half the price.
