Help with Radio issues please

Featured Replies

Hey

recently bought a 2014 fiesta and am having trouble using the radio among other things.

I can’t seem to tune or listen to the radio apart from one station and can’t scan for new stations or preset them.

I’ve had the radio out today and wd40’d all the connectors and also tried a reset thing whilst pressing the power button and the FF button together but that didn’t reboot.

I can connect my phone via Bluetooth so I know the speaker and volume buttons work ok

any suggestions on what to do next would be most appreciated please

NEVER use WD40 on electrical connectors, check the ariel connection, if it has bluetooth already make sure the module is good. Is the power and FF the correct reboot, look up make model for an instruction book. It may clear it now youve taken it out and will poss need the correct code to get it going.

Thanks Jimpster- it’s not asking for a code? I downloaded a manual from the Ford site but can’t find the audio instructions anywhere.
I think the Bluetooth is ok as it will play music from my phone.
How do I find the reboot buttons?

I think the aerial could be an issue but it’s plugged in the back ok ?

thanks for the heads up on wd40 tho - I thought it was ok?

Thanks unofix

its the radio on page 212 - any idea for the reset code for this model ?

as I said above it’s not asking for a code - if I reset it will it need one ?

It could be an aerial fault or even the aerial amplifier/isolator. If it is the infotainment system then you can get a secondhand unit on eBay for about £40 - No Radio Code is needed for these.
