Focus 2016 - Sync 2 has never updated

Hello,

I've been trying to work out how to update my Sync 2 as the maps are out of date.  If I got to Ford UK and put my VIN code it is says it's up to date, how does it know that?

I'm on:

S/W 3.08.15128.EA.10_PRODUCT

Navigation Application Version: 5.67.2

Map Database Version: F5

How do I update this if Ford say I'm on the latest?

I think I can buy the SD card, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for, any help would be great as I'm going round in circles.

    The latest maps are F11, you have to replace the SD card on Sync 2 to update them.

    Yep, Sync2 is easy to update, and cheap.

    Remember when replacing the sim do not try to just pull it out, press it in very slightly first, feel it click, then release and it pops out enough to withdraw it by hand

    Tbf I'd been awake for most of the night with insomnia so was a tad grouchy lol. I was pretty bored as well 🤣

    Thanks I'll order the F11 SD card and update, it's a shame you can't do this over WiFi.

    Given the hundreds of problems with updating Sync3 over WiFi, I wouldn't be too disappointed. At least your update is "Plug n Play".

    I used to do the downloads on my phone as I use an app called ADM, it downloads pretty quickly.

    My F11 card has arrived.

    No instructions, but how long does it take to update?  I'm only doing short journeys this next week, if I turn on the car (no the engine) and walk in the house I think it will turn off as my key is too far away?

    It only takes the time to switch the SD card, there is no loading or installing.

    Just change the card as stated in my post April 28th and job done, nothing else to do
