ODB shows crank sensor comms fault. tested sensor, plug. It cranks no start with sensor , it cranks and fires with sensor disconnected.

does anyone know which plug and ideally pin on the ecu feeds from the crank sensor?

no tach and engine light on. no rpm on live feed either.

Thankyou. But does this mean I don't have a mk7 but some kind of bin part transition?  The crank sensor has two wires not three. I have another engine with the same two wire crank sensor.

The Fiesta Mk7 came out late 2008 and by 2009 you could only get a Mk7

There are two sensors. (one Crankshaft, one Camshaft) Look at the second schematic that I posted. The very bottom of the diagram shows the 2 wire sensor.
