Dpf p2002 done a regen but code back on any ideas please

Starting to get deju vu here.

Need to see what the differential pressure is to give a better answer.  Did you manage to get it to regen during a drive or did the mechanic get it to accept a forced regen eventually?  Sounds like the regen wasn't fully completed.

If it did complete, how many miles have passed since?  Regens need to happen frequently on modern diesels for the tight emissions regs now.  If you're only doing low mileage, you'll continue to get DPF issues unfortunately.

And also is it worth using a dpf cleaner not sure if it will be more bad than good

Yes same here.

Use the DPF cleaner. It probably won't work. It will invalidate the manufactures warranty.

I understand that you live on an island and getting the vehicle to the mainland is not a two minute run down the motorway. However if the engine suffered catastrophic failure or some other major event then you would I expect be shouting warranty, and expect Ford to repair your 2021 Ranger free of charge. Continuing to use the vehicle with a DPF fault will be seen by Ford as a disregard to the terms of the warranty and could be used by them to say all subsequent claims will be void.

In your case, a direct DPF cleaner may help loosen the soot if it's become compacted due to several failed regens.  That makes it easier to burn during regen.  The cleaner itself doesn't remove any soot though.  A fuel additive type DPF cleaner would be a complete waste of time.

It's ok to drive somewhere to have it fixed, but it's not ok to just keep driving normally.  If there is excess back pressure from the DPF, that has the potential the blow the turbo.

I have to echo what Unofix says though - continuing to drive it with known faults or attempting your own repairs can void the warranty.
