Ford Galaxy 2009 instrument cluster stopped working!

Featured Replies

My instrument cluster has stopped working in its entirety. Since then when it stopped I was driving so the speedometer is stock at the speed I was doing at the time and the diesel gauge as well, I have checked the 5 amp instrument cluster fuse in the passenger fuse boxes but appear fine. I tried replacing it with new fuses anyway but no change. I am not sure what else else to do. Any suggestions?

I scanned the car with scan tool it through code U0155:00-8A lost communication with the instrument panel cluster control module.

Sounds like cluster has gone down, give the top of the dash a bang and see if it comes back to life.

I'm not sure if these also suffer with the dry solder joints like Focus MK2 does

I actually removed the cluster and when I pulled it out it worked it feels like loose connection! When I touch the cables it works I thought it’s loose cable I but Sellotape around it and new cable tie.
when I touch the cable now it doesn’t stop!

Is that means it has the dry solder issue?

and is it easy to fix?

I'm going to attach some pictures showing the problem.
