Featured Replies

Hi guys, i have something with my 1.0 ecoboost that when i wanna go more than 4000 rpm going in the autobahn and i keep going "high speed" it show me engine overheating. I check the error and it says cylinder head overheating. Can be something with the coolant?

Maybe the Coolant is not circulating properly for one reason or another.

If there is nothing obviously wrong with the Coolant then running FORScan with the Coolant and Cylinder Head Temperatures showing, assuming that Engine has a Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor, may throw some light on things.

I would expect the Coolant and Cylinder Head Temperatures to steadily rise within a few degrees of each other up until about 90 c with normal driving and reach 100 c or more when driven hard.

I would expect the Coolant Temperature to slightly lag the Cylinder Head temperature.

I am only having a guess but could it be one of the 2 thermostats not opening fully?
