Will zip tied rear bumper fail MOT

Featured Replies

So recently i decided to fit some diffuser fins to my Fiesta st line as i’m not a fan of putting st bumpers on non STs.

To secure these fins properly i had to remove the “stone reflector” / diffuser in order to properly secure the fins with screws. However in order to do this I has to Drill out the push screws that are located on the very end. One issue that has occurred from this is I drilled a bit too well and now the holes are too big for any normal sized bolt and nuts(something that won’t stick too far out the bottom). As a result i’ve had to secure these parts with zip ties. My issues is not that they aren’t secure because they are but if this will result in a mot failure or not.

This is the video i used to remove the bumper https://youtu.be/A3EyBzuRD3g

I wouldn't think so, it's secure

Not an MOT failure.  Bumpers & trim must just be secure enough not to fall off and have no sharp edges which could cause pedestrian injury.
