Headlights not working

Featured Replies

Hi, my son has a Mark 7 Fiesta, got in tonight and has no headlights - but the flash will work but won't stay on.  Anyone have any ideas? thanks

The headlight dipped beam (low beam) is controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM) which is part of the passenger compartment fusebox.

Disconnect the battery first. Then check all plugs and connectors on the BCM, look for signs of water ingress and/or greenish corrosion of any of the connector pins.

PS your profile needs amending - the year is wrong.

The high beams will only stay on when the headlights are on.  Without dipped beams, you can only flash them.  That in itself is not a fault, it's simply proving that the dipped beams aren't working.
