Hi everyone,

Been browsing a while and finally signed up.

I've a 2008 Mondeo 1.8 with 420,000 km on the clock

Daughter has a 2011 Fiesta

Wife just bought a 2015 Mondeo

Have a standard obd reader but now looking for something more Ford specific, preferably something I can use on an old laptop so pointers appreciated.

Looks like I'll be around here a while 🙂

The very, very best you can get (other than the Ford dealer equipment) is FORScan. It will, read all the Ford specific DTC's and also allow programming (windows version only).

FORScan is free for windows use, although a full licence can be bought for around £12 which allows extra features. There are also versions available for Android and iPhones, note they do not support programming but read all codes and allow the resetting of DTC's and service indicators.

You will need either a cable/adapter for use with a laptop or a dongle for use with the phone app.
