Mk7 Air Con Always On

Featured Replies

Hi

THis is not a big issue however i have recently noticed that everytime my ignition is switched off and back on again, in any circumstances, be it for jsut a second or overnight, the A/C automatically turns on if the blowers are on

Reading through the handbook it doesnt state that this should always happen although i think i read something about it coming on in the cool to help equalise humidity or something to prevent the car steaming up

So, does this happen to you lot or is it some minor issue with my cc unit?

Thanks

RBJ

Are the blower controls set to windscreen? - this is the auto windscreen de-mist kicking in. Turn the control back one notch and it will stop the aircon coming on automatically.

correct me if iam wrong but leaving it on auto will also turn the air con on.

The above post is correct about moving it 1 click. This will still have air blow on the window but not turn on A/C.

Must be for the manual model air con cars
