Hi another question,

What year did they bring the Mk6.5 come out and did the Mk6 stop being produced when the Mk6.5 came out?

2005, 55 plate onwards I believe.

Mk6.5 lights are interchangable with mk6 lights vice versa.

Front lights are a straight swop.

Rear lights will require an extra lead from the first reversing light to the new extra one on the 6.5 lights.

I know they fit because i have done it myself with my g/f's car

the head rests in the mk.6 are much better

Well I'm doing my lessons in a 1.4 zetec Mk6.5 and love it :D its a nice low drive quite comfortable even having to drive properly haha. I do like the new shape (mk7) but its just too expensive so I'm happy to settle for the mk6.5. And a head rest's a head rest haha im not that tall and drive a little slumped because its comfy so I don't have much use for head rests haha.

Actually they are head restraints not head rest for protection from neck injuries.

They wouldnt be effective with me because I don't use them.
