Ford B-Max non start.

Featured Replies

Morning all, was after some guidance if possible, I have a 2014 B Max 1.6  I have been having an issue with starting the car, basically it is not registering the car being in park to start the engine as you need to have your foot on the brake and be in park to start it, it won’t let me put the car into neutral or any other gear. I have rocked the car in park and it releases the button to allow the gear shift to move, but on the dash there is usually a white box around which gear it is in and this is flickering on and off when i rock it and then will not come back on,  Anyone had this issue before??

Check the wiring and the connector plugs of the TCM. They are a common source of problems like yours.
