STEVETEACH
Hi I have a 2015 Fiesta EcoBoost 998cc. I had problems starting and had the RAC tell me it was the clutch switch number 2 behind the clutch pedal, so had it changed. I have changed to the AA at renewal time and now getting the same problem of it won't start or it is hit and miss starting. The AA say it is now clutch switch number 1 that is the problem. Does anybody know of a diagram showing this number 1 switch, original part number or how to access and replace this switch? Any help or advice would be much appreciated. TomsFocus
Getting your moneys worth out of the breakdown services lol. I don't know which way round 1 & 2 are. Both are fitted to the pedal in near enough the same place above the clutch. STEVETEACH
Hi TomsFocus, Thank you for your reply, it is most helpful. Do you or anyone else happen to know what either switch does? Also how difficult is it to replace the upper (Green) switch?

The yellow one is listed as 'starter inhibitor', so I would assume that's the one that prevents starting, and probably also triggers the stop/start. The other one will be for PCM rev matching and cruise control cancelling etc. I don't know why all functions can't be managed with just one switch though. I've never changed one on a Fiesta so not sure how good the access is. Generally, when the clutch switch fails, the dash will ask you to 'press brake' to start. If that doesn't happen, I wouldn't be convinced that your non-start is caused by a clutch switch fault.
