Buxty
Hey folks, Im looking at getting rid of my Focus and getting a 2018 Fiesta ST-3 with Perf Pack, Pan Roof, LED Lights and BLIS. Is there anything in particular I need to check on the ST’s of this generation? Cheers folks!
alexp999
The very first ones had a misbuild and are missing the heated steering wheel, if that’s important to you. Don’t rely on the dealer spec as it should have come with it. Check pics for the button.

I hear you can select the Ford Performance screen and when up to temp at a standstill it’ll show launch control if it has it?
alexp999
Yeah that’s how launch control works but the heated steering wheel was supposed to be part of the ST-3 standard spec.

Ah I see, cheers! Yeah the pictures definitely show the heated wheel button but I plan to test everything before pulling the trigger

Yeah the pictures definitely show the heated wheel button but I plan to test everything before pulling the trigger One thing to note is that when I was searching for my ST, is that dealers didn't tend to know if the car had the performance pack (some listed it as having it when in fact the car did not). I ended up checking Ford Etis, to see if it definitely had performance pack before I took it for a test drive.
alexp999
Etis is no longer available, so you might just have to check when looking at the car.
Jim H
Is there any easy way to tell if an ST has the permeance pack or not? I can remember when I was looking for a car, one franchise was not truthful in their adverts. If you know the reg number will it be stated if you do a "Car Check"? Can you tell from pictures of car? Buxty
Pulled the trigger on it, and it’s a blast! Did some negotiating as the heated wheel isn’t heated but has the button for it so may be one of the misbuild ones. Either way they said I can try get Ford to fix it and they’ll pick up the bill if it is possible to change the wheel.

Bigger, seemingly more room in the back for passengers and a huge boot.

If I want to replace the Fiesta with a Puma ST I've only got 22 months to go before my current finance deal is up, wondering about getting an order in shortly!😃 But seriously, any news on yours yet, Martin? alexp999
Another option is just to vote with your wallet and don’t buy a new Ford. i20n and i30n are still being manufactured. When I need to replace my ST and Ford only offer Puma and Kuga then I won’t buy Ford.

Current i30 is getting long in the tooth now, though I've been impressed with the i30n when I've tried it but don't really need that size car now. Tried and failed to test drive the i20n since it's introduction, hence another Fiesta. Not that keen on the Puma myself, either, so finding something next time round could be challenging! My Puma ST.... had it since end of Feb. The Mrs StLx is on the way to the UK and she only ordered it in March.

Would not take the step back to a Fiesta after the Puma now.
