Bonett Will Not Open

hi all i am hoping you will be able to help me. i have a 97 ford galaxy.

the problem is that i went to check my oil and the bonnet cable come away in my hand.

it looks like the cable has snaped right at the bonett catch itself.

and now my iol warning light is starting to show and i can not fill the oil.

please can some one tell me haw to open the bonett without the bonett cable being connected???
