Replace wing mirror with BLIS if my car don't have it ?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I broke the hinge of my right wing mirror on my Fiesta 2019 (Mk8 ?). While looking for a spare part on the web and in local 2nd hand dealers, they all have side mirrors with BLIS (Blind Spot detection).

Can I buy one of those and hope to fit it in my car if my car doesn't have BLIS initially ?

I mean, is the connector the same, and will the car detect it correctly ?

I don't mind using it or not, I assume that BLIS needs more parts such as radar etc to be compatible, I just want to replace my mirror.

Thanks a lot !

You may be able to canibalise your original mirror and create a working one from a BLIS equipped one.
