adjusting clutch pedal engagement point

Hi all,

A few month's ago i replaced my clutch.

Thanks to this forum, i got it working again. But now there is something else, i want to adjust the engagement point of the clutch/pedal. It feels like it is very high in the movement, so it is engaging very fast and it's hard to control. Sometimes it is also difficult/impossible to get it in first gear.

I bleeded several times, but that changed nothing. I dont see any air bubbles in the line while bleeding so i think that should be fine. Is it possible to adjust the clutch pedal clearance? If so, is there a procedure available somewhere? I am searching for weeks but couldn't find anything for this car.

It is a ford fiesta mk5, from late 2003.

many thanks in advance

edit: i am also suspecting the slave cilinder, since it was the cheapest i could find :') Does anyone have experiences with ridex slave cilinders?
