Airbag sensor 2

Featured Replies

I own a mk3 2018 ford focus and had an issue with the airbag light coming on so had my friend scan for any errors and sensor 2 drivers side came up.

Can you tell me is this located at the bottom of the B piller or inside yhe drivers door?

Any help is much appreciated.

I would suggest using FORScan to check for DTC's it will give the most information as to which sensor and system is at fault. It could be the seatbelt pretensioner or the airbag in the side of the seat. Without an actual Ford DTC it's too much of a guessing game.

Thanks for the help.

Can I just install it on my android Samsung phone as I don't have a laptop?

What cable would you recommend to plug in while using my phone ?

Thanks 👍

If you visit that Forscan link there are a number of different recommended Bluetooth adapters in the Forscan Lite for Android section.

If you have an Android phone you will need to buy FORScan Lite (about £7) and you will need the correct dongle.

Use vLinker FD (for android): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vgate-Bluetooth-vLinker-Scanner-Diagnostic/dp/B08H82WC8L

There is an option that you could use vLinker FD+ which is for iPhone but also works for android although it is reported that it is not as fast as the FD version.

Thanks for your help I have the android lite version installed and purchased a license and it is now activated.

I did see the exact same product in your link for £39 from amazon so will purchase this one and get it tomorrow.
