oem batteries are silver calcium/lead calcium these batteries are not and will not work with the smart charge system fitting anythging else than the silver calcium/lead calcium battery will result in electrical issues and will destroy the battery in a few months at best therefore youll be struggling to find anything lightweight that actually works other than that it will invalidate youre warranty fitting non oem battery

What he was saying is that the electronics that monitor the battery assume it'll respond in a particular way. If you fit a battery with different chemistry then it might be under/over-charged.

I don't know what the original 43Ah capacity battery weighs, but looking on halfords site, they show a Bosch 61Ah capacity battery when you select a Fiesta. That battery weighs under 15kg. Looking at the link you sent, the 40Ah battery weighs 17kg. :blink:
