Is it ok to change battery in key without resetting system or is it best to take it to dealer.

    yes should be fine make sure you get the battery the right way around

    A lot of threads on this if you search around, but other points are:

    Ensure the new battery is free of any residue (some have peelable stickers that need to be removed.) Clean with a solvent if necessary.

    Check the new battery is showing 3.3v before fitting. "Duds" are not unknown and there are reports of counterfeit batteries (particularly fake Duracell) having entered even legitimate supply chains.
