Stone chip repair

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a new Puma and just near the front badge is a stone chip.  It is quite small but annoying

What advice to repair it please

Yes, very annoying - got 3 on my windscreen pillar after having the car a week!😠

At least its on a "plastic" bit so no rust worries.

Presume you're looking at diy rather than chips away, etc.

Assuming you have the correct touch up, I normally use a small artists brush rather than the one in the cap, building up in layers, then finish off with the lacquer. Leave a week or two, polish, add a coat of your favourite wax and buff.

Can be worth thinning the paint to make it flow easier, and get a thinner layer - you can always add another layer but hard to get rid of a big dollop!
