Hi, I’ve recently tried to fit 15 and 20 mm spacers and it looks like I’m going to need to cut the studs a bit for clearance.  Is there any downsides or risks to doing this? I was thinking it would mean I couldn’t restore back to stock without spacers

    That's the downside.

    you could of course buy shorter aftermarket studs (Ford do not supply them) and remove the originals (hit with large hammer) and keep them for use at a later date.
