Ford S Max 2.5T 2007 remap with pops and bangs

Featured Replies

Hi guys,  just bought a 2.5T for being extremely cheap off a young chap, I'm happy with the car but there some issues that I need fixing ASAP.

I believe it's remapped to stage 1 with pops and bangs and has a straight exhaust from cat back.

This is a problem cos it sounds horrific, very loud and pops like crazy wich I don't really need with 2 kids...

Question:

Can I just buy stock exhaust and fit it or I need to take the car to a tuner and have that pop and bang thing removed after installing standard exhaust?

I'm based in Bristol so if anyone can help in this matter please let me know 👍

Many thanks 🤗

Yes, return to standard, including exhaust.

Do the engine map first, that will quieten it down a bit
