Upgrading the air filter of a ford fiesta V 1.4L TdCi

Featured Replies

Hi. I’m sorry for my bad English, but i will try my best and sorry for my little knowledge about cars.

I own a 1.4 Liter TdCi Fiesta (built in 2006) and i am looking for a good air filter. I am considering buying an high performance air filter in order to give a little spiciness to my car. It actually consumes 4.6 Liter/100 km (but i read some of these filter increase the consume rate, is it true?). I read in some forums about pro and cons of a high performance filter, but i can’t find something relatable about my fiesta. Do you recommend it or it is even worst than a classical air filter? I am not concerned about the price of the filter (i assume high perfomance air filter should last much longer, considering a regular maintenance). I am considering buying a k&n filter (with the same shape as the original filter), but i know nothing about it.

i hope you can help me solving my doubts. Thank you for spending your time. Have a nice day!
