Hello.  I have a ford ka studio bought in 2014.  I would like to know if anyone can answer this question.  Can the Electronic control unit on my car be removed and tested and then refitted by me without it having to be reprogrammed.  Also, i have a multimeter and would like to check if i suspect that the ECU might be faulty in the future.  Pleas see attachment below.

    No.

    You can of course always do a visual inspection and check for signs of water ingress and corrosion of the connector pins.

    Why do you suspect that you have a faulty ECU ?
