Bad O2 sensor???

Featured Replies

Recently changed both O2 sensors, pre cat and after cat because I got the dreaded P0420 code. Running diagnostics on car scanner pro it states on the non continuous monitor that the Catalyst monitor bank 1 has failed, see first pic, emissions test states that the cat passed the test but oxygen sensor failed see pic 2 and the voltage at idle for sensor 2 which monitors the Cat reads 0.7V. Am I correct in thinking that the V at idle should be a steady line and read 0.45 volts. Pic 3 for Voltage. Is the sensor faulty. Cheers folks.

The voltage is a bit high, but steady. You need to find what killed your cat. Do you have a misfire? burning oil?
