Engine service now message ford fiesta st2 2014

Featured Replies

Hi, engine service now message keeps popping up on our dashboard, does anybody know what this might be? When we turn off the engine and re-start the message disappears but soon it appears again. There is no decline in performance. Many thanks

engine service now message

This is Ford with a very poor warning message. It actually means "Engine Fault, take to garage now"

It has absolutely nothing to do with any kind of service like changing the oil or spark plugs. Don't ignore the warning. If you use FORScan then you will be able to read the Ford specific DTC's which should help identify the problem.

Thanks for the reply. I dont have forscan unfortunately. We tried to check the basics but the message keeps coming up.  No difference in performance whatsovever and i think the car runs well but i dont want to ignore if it is a major problem

FORScan is free to use on a windows laptop or around £7 for the mobile phone version.

You will of course need a connecting cable for the laptop like 'vLinker FS' which is around £32 or you will need a dongle for the mobile versions which are around £35ish
