Good Morning, I have a 2010 Ford SMax.  Im currently having problems with both fobs coming up with a warning message saying key battery low (even when replaced with brand new batteries).  It takes a good few clicks to lock or unlock the car and sometimes i get a red error message saying keys outside car like its struggling to read them etc...

Will i need to go to a Ford main dealer to get new fobs done or is it worth using a local company etc..

Actually they may well be, il have to check.

In the meantime i will order some more to see if that works.

Would Energizer 2032 lithium batteries do the job or would you recommend something else ?

Energiser should be fine.  I prefer Panasonic myself.

Tom I tried this with the 3 lock and unlock in 10 seconds trick.

Worked a charm, keys picked up with no warnings now.

I was about to take it to a Ford dealer where they would have rinsed me for £300-£500.
